 On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of our partnership with China, Siemens has launched a new corporate social Responsibility action plan to carry out continuous public welfare actions in the three areas of technology promotion, education promotion and social development
New public welfare projects such as "Siemens Future Education Program" and "Sound Post Office" were launched
 
Since its 10th anniversary, Siemens Employee Volunteers Association has carried out nearly 500 volunteer activities in China, benefiting tens of thousands of people
Siemens today officially launched the "Siemens China Public Benefit Program", which will give full play to its scientific and technological advantages and focus on technology promotion, education promotion and social development. It will carry out public benefit activities in the form of knowledge and experience sharing, technical assistance and financial donation.

Dr. Song Xiao, Executive Vice President of Siemens Worldwide and Chairman, President and CEO of Siemens China, said, "This year marks the 150th year of Siemens' partnership with China and the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Siemens Employee Volunteer Association. At this historic moment, we officially launch the Siemens China Public Welfare Program. This is another key milestone for Siemens to be future-oriented and actively engaged in public welfare in China. It is also our firm commitment and concrete action to help the sustainable development of Chinese society. In the future, Siemens looks forward to working with more partners in the public welfare sector to support the development of public welfare in China and create value for Chinese society."
 
The Siemens China Initiative includes the Siemens Green Education Initiative, as well as the new Siemens Future Education Initiative and the Sound Post Office. based on the "Siemens Future Education Program", Siemens will mainly provide educational assistance to teachers and students of vocational education institutions in China, aiming at strengthening the cultivation of innovative, applied and skilled talents. Through various public welfare programs for students, such as visiting, practical learning, adding general knowledge of intelligent manufacturing and special technology courses, as well as actively promoting mentor programs, teacher empowerment workshops and training activities, Siemens will fully enable the development of vocational education, optimize the talent training structure, and inject a steady flow of talent for the development of Chinese society. The project plans to start in Sichuan province and expand to other parts of China in the future. The "Sound Post Office" project is a public benefit project jointly carried out by Siemens and Hezhongzeyi, focusing on left-behind children and blind children. Siemens provides audio recording platform and reading materials for employees and volunteers, and distributes audio files to provide knowledge, care and companionship with sound as a gift. The first batch of audiobooks will be donated to Shuigou School in Hinggan League, Inner Mongolia autonomous region. In addition to the donated sound gift, the Siemens Love Warm Winter Set will also be delivered to more than 200 boarding children at the school.



 
With the release of the Siemens China Public Welfare Program, Siemens will continue to expand the Siemens Green Education Program and other public welfare programs. The Siemens Green Education Program for children of migrant workers has been in operation for 13 years, covering 10 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Xi 'an and Chengdu, benefiting more than 25,000 students. Launched in 2018, the "Siemens Green Education Plan for Chinese College Students' Social Practice Project" has joined the "Chinese College Students' Knowledge and Practice Promotion Plan" for five years, providing support for more than 1,000 college students' social practice activities in 21 universities, covering 29 provinces and regions across the country, and directly benefiting nearly 69,000 students and teachers in rural areas. In the future, Siemens will continue to work on this project and plan to support students from 50 universities in China to complete social practice and volunteer teaching activities in rural areas in 2023.
 
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Siemens Employee Volunteer Association. The Siemens China Project will invite more employees to actively participate in volunteer activities and create value for the society. As an important platform and carrier for Siemens to promote public welfare projects, Siemens Employee Volunteers Association has carried out nearly 500 volunteer service activities in China, benefiting tens of thousands of people.
